House rules

What we ask of you, and why

There are only a few, and each one has a reason: the house is stone in the middle of the hills, the village is small, and sometimes the next couple arrives that same day.

Fire, candles and tobacco

LaCalma sits in the heart of the Sierra de Espadán, surrounded by woodland. Here a slip with fire is never just a scare, so we ask you:

  • No fire of any kind, inside or outside the house: no candles, no portable barbecues, no sparklers or fireworks. Incense is fine, indoors, in its holder and never left burning with nobody in the house.
  • No smoking or vaping inside the house. Outside, always with an ashtray and never leaving butts on the ground.

If any of these rules is not respected, a charge of €150 will apply for extraordinary cleaning and deodorising, plus the cost of any damage. We will let you know with photos, and it is paid after checkout.

  • Quiet, for everyone

Here the silence is part of the stay. Music low and no parties, please: the village is small and the neighbours are resting.

  • If you bring your dog

Dogs are welcome, with three things: never left alone in the house, not on the bed or the sofa, and always in your sight, because the house is not fenced.

  • Checkout day

Checkout before 12:00. Switch off the lights and the heater, close the windows, leave the rubbish in the bins next to the bar and the key in the lockbox.

And the usual ones

  • Maximum two people. No extra places can be added.
  • Only the people included in the confirmed stay may use the house.

By requesting dates on the website you accept these rules; we remind you of them in the confirmation message. Check dates
